hi everyone and good mourning. i was just wondering if anyone had any good ways of removing hard water spots from the hood of an aquarium. my african tank is cakkkked and i just want to stay ahead of the game with my discus tank. im talking about the white crap that builds up.i think there called "hard water spots"?? i wouldnt mind being corrected if im wrong.

White vinegar. . Let it soak.. scape or wipe off

Yup, a vinegar and water soluton should do the trick..............

me too, i get that too and i use vinegar and salt scrub BUT when the fish are actually in it the evaporation makes a white layer on the top and because the fish are in it i can't use vinegar then lol so not sure how to avoid that. only my planted tanks which suck a lot of the minerals out of the water don't have that as bad the main discus tank has a nice ugly white rim around the top and i try and try to keep it to a minimum but its not pretty.

so im switching over to hauled water which is a huge pita but my BB fish will thank me for it im sure !
