Spawning cones

Hello,

Is there any reason why aquatic nature made their new cones dark?
I suppose they dit it with a purpose.
But now i'm wondering, is it any good.

It could be they thought the darker color would keep the fry closer to the parents? Send them an email?

I would think it would cause the fry to not want to attach to the pair but to the cone instead?
