I have a DSA Neo 65 which measures 36x21x21.

The tank has a fantastic footprint, black bottom, and I plan on doing a bare bottom discus tank with just some rocks and driftwood, ive been working on a water change system and would like opinions.

I have 2 remote 25g storage tanks in my garage that are connected to the tank for auto top off. The equipment I plan on using is the following

Spectra pure UPLCII which I already have to handle the water top off in my sump during the day.

What I plan to buy are the following

Filterguyz or Spectrapure 3 stage Chloramine filter for my tap water into ageing barrels. I do not intend on using ro water, but a prefilter on the tap water to reduce the metals out the tap. It would be like a 1 micron filter and the the 2 carbon blocks. occasional hit of prime or safe into the storage containers.. like bi weekly god forbid any ammonia or chloromine

and for a daily water exchange routine, the stenner dual head pump

I would prob end up running a 4 gallon an hour cycle to exchange roughly 25 gallons of water on a daily basis. this pump removes and replaces equal parts of water from the tank.. sometimes they need a little tuning but your basic ato module with a plug can turn off the unit if its filling faster then removing water, and keeping the suction tube nowhere near the bottom of the sump will prevent it from running my filter dry, but mind you the auto top off would kick in if the level really was that low to help offset the difference in flow rates.

I do understand I will need to vaccum the tank, I was thinking the eheim hand vac for daily quick cleans and a weekly 50% water change on like Saturdays or sunday.

SINCE my top off system is two separate barrels, water would enter the farther barrel and get picked up by the closer barrel. I will keep them lightly heated until a day b4 a regular water change in the winter where I would add a second heater, in the summer I don't think id need to worry about it much. the water barrels automatically top them selves off from the tap water. they pretty much always stay full unless im using water really fast out of the eheim 1260 drain pump I have

Opinions, advice? not trying to reinvent the wheel, just making my life a little less full of water changes but keep these fish in a responsible manner

heres a quick look at the water change station that the tank draws from as it needs.
