Hi all!

At the end of last year i got my first wilds. They are from Guariba.

Ive real impressed that the pair can defend the eggs and later fry from other discus, corys and other catfish.

Some vids:

They spawned again and i took out 45 fry (9 left in main tank) i friend got 25.
I have 20 that im trying to raise myself.

Very nice. We've been seeing some really nice wild discus and tanks lately. It's great to see.

Congrats, beautifull parents. And they say you cant grow fry in a planted/bitope aquarium. Could you describe your setup (tank measurments, filtration, heating, your wc regime, what do you feed them)?

Congratulations on your F1.

Sounds a bit like my story and I have a bunch of F1 as well and also in a community tank and also around 45 fry. I did separate the pair from the other inhabitants dough and used filter foam to divide the tank. Did your fry actually grow up with the other fish or did you put in a divider as well? I'm curious about the size of the fish. Do you already feed other foods besides the bbs?
