filter biomedia / power outtage

Hey folks. I'm just wondering on how to keep beneficial bacteria alive during power outages. I heard if you let it sit in the filter it will become poisonous but if it dries out its dies. Would it be smart to put it in a 5g bucket with a battery powered air pump? I have 2x AC70 and a reaction 4 canister filter all stuffed with seachems matrix and fluval bio media. Any tips are welcome.

How long are your power outages?

I've had 3+ days in back to back years. This winter wasn't bad I just don't know what to do if something crazy happens again.
