Hello. I have a 75 gallon tank. Bare bottom. 5 adult discus 5"+ and 30 cardinal tetras. I have a canister filter on it but I want to change to sponge since I do regular water changes anyway.

My problem is that I've never used these filter. And I understand that they work with air pump. What kind of ratings my air pump need to be to be enough for the sponge filter? How many sponges and what size I need for my tank?

Sponges and air pumps are all rated in gallon size of tank..

Find right sponge for tank.. find right air pump for tank.. connect both with air line..

Done

So I find the air pump rated for my tank

But the only sponge I find that's the largest are the xy380. N those are only rated for 20 gallons. Is there anything bigger?? i would need 40 of these in my tank... Is this what you use bro??
