Saw this strain in my lfs, and the shop owner said this is the latest strain in the market, which is very popular and expensive. Around USD90 per fish in 4-4.5" size.

The shop owner said it is Vietnam Pigeon Blood Snakeskin, but is it same as the RED EAGLE that we see Kenny selling here?

The pattern is a little tighter than the red eagles. Looks more like he said, a snakeskin.

Drool I want some....tight clean patterns, no smearing between colors, and I can't see much peppering or fin blackening to speak of either - I'll take two!

The patterns pretty lose on that one, i'd call it a snake skin as well,
the read coat (or red eagle or blood pigeon or what ever else difference people call it) are all the same pigeon bloods derivative but they have true white spots,
not my cup of tea but still a good looking fish

Its all about marketing. Seller name it all they want but to me still a pigeon blood nothing special.

If he calls them Pigeon Blood Snakeskin, and they're from Vietnam, then Vietnam Pigeon Blood Snakeskin sounds about right.

Red pattern Pigeon blood snakeskin.

Its patterns are tighter than a red eagle and Stendkers PB SS, besides more of "tight checker board"

In the end it looks nice to the eye

There are about 10 names for slightly different pigeons, depending on how much white vs red etc - while there might be subtle differences, it's mostly marketing.
