Basically you are doing a shoebox setup. They have been used for the last 30 or 40 years and normally work very well. Some searches will probably show some threads of the setup that I sometimes use.

Would that be what holds the coffee and filter in a coffee pot ? It looks pretty smartly thought out for as easy as it appears.

yes john some of the old threads are what led me to this :) so i thank all you guys for letting us newbies pick your brains and this great site for all the great info... now i just got to learn to feed these little guys and keep them alive and i will be a happy man :)

yes coffee filters bought at wall mart....

Put in fresh hatch BBS and I mean about 100 X more than you think you need.
