I have a chance to buy a used 75 gal non leaker tank cheap. I want to use in my fish room as a grow out tank. It doesn't have to be pretty but I noticed the previous owner cut out the plastic center brace along the top rim. I know it's probably not a good idea to take out the center brace.
Should I pass on this tank? Is it a blow out waiting to happen?
Anyone with experience with this let me know what you think.
Thanks.

You can buy a piece of glass to silicone to the top center of the front and back panels. Instant center brace and stronger than plastic,

I have 75s and 100s with no center brace that I have used for years with no problems.

I can get it for $65, plus a used T5 fixture that goes with it.
I'm just not sure I want to have to cut a piece of glass and silicone it in. It was a salt water tank and it will take a lot of cleaning to get it looking good again.
