It has been long since i posted in the forum. I recently got 10 Wilds from Curuai River. The discus are from Hudson and was sourced through the supplier P & Y Discus in Thailand. The experience of dealing with both of them was extremely good. Posting some videos of the fishes. They are with me for the last 10 days. The woods are from the forum sponsor Manzman (Rafael Mendoza).

Infact I still have the Blue Faced Heckels that i got from Hudson previously. You can refer to the below thread for the same.

Those are absolutely stunning fish!!! They look very happy and active and so good to see you combined smaller and large fish which make the group look natural.

I like to know more about your set up,... tank size, filtration, cleaning routines, water treatment, because it is clear you are doing a great job in keeping these wonderful fish, happy

Thanks,

Tank Size :- 4 X 2 X 2 .

Filtration :- two 2217 and one 2215 filled with Sera Peat. (Change the peat every 6 - 7 months)

Water Change every two - three days about 10 - 15 % . Use Pure aged RO water. Also add Rooibos tea and ADA Rio Base once in a week after water change. Initially had used Alder Cones to reduce the pH but not able to maintain the Ph with peat itself.

Thanks for sharing!

I expected a larger tank or at least a large sump but it obviously this works well for your fish. I had a good laugh about the rooibos,..is it only for the tannins or also to relax the fish? I hope you are aware thea also contains caffeine although the quantity is low.
I think this is an interesting tank! Keep up the good work and I hope you will get some pairs from your group and they breed for you.

Actually rooibos tea does not contain any caffeine.

Aaaah that explains the rooibos, haha! It also explains why I stick to cafe (-;

Thanks Guys.

Added some more Manzanita woods into the tank. This would pretty much be the final setup. Will be removing the Altums as i added them to make the Discus a bit more active. Planning to add some geophagus winemilleri (small ones) later.

It's my understanding that geophagus winemilleri get pretty large. You said "small ones".
