Hi,
I'm changeing 85l of water every day, straight tap water through 2 CTO filters, makes 600L a week, is this ok? (600L tank). I'm feeding brine shrimp, bloodworm, mosquito larve and no name discus granules (not ideal I know). I should probably be feeding beefheart and a good quality flake, what do you think?

Straight tap??? That could be dodgy cos it kills all bacteria that helps brake down fish waiste... so basically a non cycled tank at the end of the day.

Straight tap, yes but it runs through 2 cto filters first which take all the chlorine etc. out of the water, at least its supposed to.

I was thinking of making my own beefheart mix, anyone know a good recipe?

Ahhh i dont know how well CTO filters work but hope they do the trick, lots of guys lets their water stand and mature with airstone and heater in drums so that there is not much ph swings and temp swings ens in the tank but i leave that topic to the big boys in the order lol aslong as your discus are healthy and eatting then i dont c a problem for them now.

Hi TheMutlu, I'd guess they are 6-8cm, so pretty young.
