Can a male be too old to fertilize

Does a male stop fertilizing eggs when they get old, and how old would they be

I don't know for sure. I assume their health would eventually get in the way but I have had males as old as 8 fertilize without any issues.

Good to know, I have a male aprox. 4 years old close to 8 inch and the eggs have been turning white maybe he is too large.

Probably not. If he is making runs it is normally bad water or nutrition that causes the issues.
