Not sure how many of you follow Santarem Discus on FB, but on their page, they post wild discus they ship around the world. There is a guy in South Korea who has awesome looking discus and he is breeding them successfully. If you want to check it out, here is the link:

Try this link instead http://blog.naver.com/climcity/80212778489. The video is in the middle of the page. Very nice wild fish.

They're excellent, but it's inaccurate to call them both Royals as is done at the site. Semi-Royal is more like it..

Beautiful pair for sure.

They looked pretty royal to me ...

My understanding is that royal means a full-body pattern without any gaps... I actually prefer the way these fish look to most that would be considered fully royal.

I would personally consider one royal and one semi-royal. If I recall correctly the definition (which is pretty loose) is based on the percentage of coverage by the striations. Either way both are beautiful fish.

True. Who cares what you call them, they are great looking fish. I actually like how the fish are not entirely red, but have non-red areas in the middle.

That wasn't the only impressive pic in there. There were many. My favorite is the wild pair with those huge fry which must have been a month old. The last pic that Heiko took was my second choice.

This guy in Korea you talked about first. He doesn't have a US importer, does he? Have you considered being the one?

And I can't speak Korean. Perhaps Yun will translate for me. I am in love with your fish.
