Hello everyone...

I have two discus that I need to determine the sex of. Please see the attached photos and please feel free to leave comments or opinions on their appearance.

The only way I know of to sex a discus is after they pair up on their own and produce wigglers.

Some people say you can look at the fins where the invisible line crosses the tail but I think that's crap I have never seen that proven but have seen it wrong before

I have applied that to fish where I knew the gender and it is not reliable.

It only matters that your fish know the difference. From reading SD it appears that the only reliable way to tell is when the fish are actually spawning or by the difference in the shape of their spawning tubes. The fish pictured may possibly be too young to spawn.
