New Discus....Dunno strain, age, etc. Questions????

Hello, I just bought this new discus approx.. 6.5-7".

When I was looking at him from the tank I purchased there was no blue.. LOL . The blue areas looked clear and the spots looked red. So when I bought him I thought I was getting like a white butterfly.

I guess his tank lights were different than mine because now he looks like a cobalt or some blueish strain.

The guy I bought him from spoke poor English so I have no clue what strain he is either.

Can anyone give me as much info as possible (strain, age, sex, etc.)

Im a begginer but id say 1 year+ 12 bar turk X Slightly stnted but looks nice though

I don't think hes stunted around 7inches, a tad bigger than the sponge filter in the pic.

No way you can tell age from a picture or the sex. As for the strain Bill is right, it is a snakeskin but doesn't seem very distinguishable beyond that. Not a Turq. You can't really tell the size from these pictures either. I really doubt it is 6.5 to 7". You would have to show it with a tape measure to convince me of that.

I think you guys are right it is some snakeskin cross, perhaps cobalt.

I pulled a measure its more like 6 inches. Do you measure tail to mouth end? or before the tail end?

It looks really old too, are snakeskins suppose to be shiny on the body?? It looks like a breeding discus when the fry eat the slime coats.
