Hello
A few months ago when I tested my Tap water the PH was 7.5
By aging in barrels I was bringing it down to 6.9. My tanks are usually between 6.6 and 6.9
Now look at picture.
Left green it's my tank at 6.6
The 3 other tubes are my tap water, my water aged 24 hours with air bubbles and finally another barrel aged 24 hours without bubbles all on the 7.6 on API chart. Need to do a big water change but afraid such a big gap in PH may affect my fish.
Does such difference in PH make sense?
Should I add water back slowly? If so how slow?
Thank you very much

How long since you did a water change in the tank? As fish poop the PH goes down. Just the natural way of things.

I think it was Saturday 50%,and each day after that a couple of buckets while I siphoned the waste.

That would be minimum 15% each day

I am not surprised by the tank PH but by the fact that the 24 hours of aging seem useless..
