My "pair" laid eggs again for the 2nd time. I'm leaving them alone this time to see if I can get them to confirm. My guess is they laid them sometime last night but I'm not sure as they laid them on the back of the mag float and it was facing away from the front.

Nice looking pair Jody. How big are they? Against that magnet they look like juvies.

Thanks Jeff, the albino in the forefront is about 4-4.5 and the assumed male
Is around 5.5. I got them both from Marion at Florida Discus a few months ago.

Given the eggs have neither turned white nor formed wrigglers the eggs are less than 48 hours old. Best of luck with them...anxious to see if the eggs are fertile.

Thanks, Its cool to see them alternate watching over the eggs. 1 leaves, 1 stays. 1 comes back then the other one goes off...

Did you end up moving these fish to a tank of their own or are they still in the 125?

I wouldn't be in a big hurry to move them either, I was just curious.

I'm not in a hurry, I'm going to Vancouver in a month for 9 days so fry would be a really bad idea right now.

Eggs were fertile, I could see the black spots. Woke up this morning hoping for wigglers and they ate them overnight.

They have spawned twice and it looks like they are on their way to spawn shortly again. Practice makes perfect. Take care. Rufus

The good news is you now know you have a true pair.
