You have a very nice group of red melons - like the quality - good luck growing them out

yes they are flawless, usually in the US, red melon's are a cheaper price fish and I don't think I've ever seen any that red

In general it does appear the red melons here are a lower grade. OPs fish look good.

Thanks for all the kind comments! Just got myself 2 more, have been feeding them frozen dried blackworms with a water change regime of once every two days. They're still quite skittish though. Currently housing them in a 3 x 1.5 x1.5 ft tank.

Out of curiosity, how big were they when you purchased them? How big are they now? They look amazing, nice work!!

Thanks for the compliments! :) When I purchased them, red melons were 2.5-3inches in size, currently they are around 4inches. The LSS have a faster growth rate. Purchased them in late oct 2014 at 2.5inches, currently they are 4-4.5inches.
