It's a sad day. Today I say goodbye to one of my favorite male (Face spotted PE eruption) who just died an hour ago. He hit his head hard ramming into the glass this morning and never recovered from it. I did everything I could to try and allow him to recover but the damage was already done. This one hurts. May you rest in peace.

Thank you all for the kinds words... I have 8 of his offspring I'm growing out for myself so he will live through them...

I am sorry Kal-El, i dont have so many fish that the loss of my favorite ones currently would not be a major blow to the wallet and heart


would love to see the grow out journal of the 8 you are growing out, be nice to see one that looks a lot like him grow out well !!! here is hoping you get one from the bunch that is even more spectacular!

Really sorry to hear about this. Almost exactly the same thing happened to me with almost exactly the same type of fish a few years ago. The lights went out and the next day in the morning it was lying on it's side dying from what must have been an impact with something during the night. There was also no hope of saving this fish. It was kind of heart breaking.
