View Full Version : My 150 gallon low tech planted discus tank!!

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've been on the forums but got a lot of great tips here and wanted to thank all who helped me and shared their stories!

Tank is planted with various anubia, crypt, hygro, java moss and fern, and rotala indica in background. Few others too :)

Fish:
8 discus!!! Shout out to Hans for supplying some of the originals! And those that didn't make it :(

10 Cory sterbai
20 or so cardinals
12 rummynose
10 red ruby pencil fish
2 dwarf pike cichlids
Blue marble angel
Spotted head stander
Albino longfin bushy nose Pleco
L177 golden nugget
L46 zebra
About 1,000,000 assassin and mts haha

I run two FX5 and have a build my LED light. Substrate is pool filter sound over eco complete

Looks good! Takes a lot of time / patience to have a low tech tank get that lush!

Wow. Outstanding. The only low tech tanks I've ever managed to get growth like that out of were nanos. Good job.
