Alot of us have wanted to attend a NADA show but for whatever reason we could not go. The MWDH have a chance in 2016, but it will take a little work from all of us to make it happen.
Keith and I are seriously considering putting together a bid to host NADA 2016. We have talked to a previous hosting club member and he told us it's a lot of work, but most of the initial work can be handled by just a couple of people. When it comes to things like building tank stands and setting up the week of the show however a crew is definitely necessary. We're currently trying to gage if that type of support exists. At a minimum what we're looking for is people who are willing to commit to a couple of weekend days to build stands, and people who would commit to taking some days or the week of the show off to do whatever is necessary. Post to this thread or PM CozyKeith and myself with thoughts, questions, or to volunteer.

I'm in. The actual amount of on-site time would depend largely on location, but I am willing to help in anyway I can.

I just may be able to make my first appearance to a Nada event if it's awarded to MWDH. 8 hr. drive is not that bad.

Is there set dates yet? I usually travel to the Chicago/Indiana dunes area every summer. Would be cool to attend!

No specific date has been scheduled Matt but I suspect if you travel in 2016 I would mark mid to late June as a target point.
Just keep checking the site from time to time.

I have been hiding, just kidding. I have had a busy year many friends died one committed suicide.
Many doctors want art work so I have had a big learning curve. I have all these doctors showing me a blank wall. :) I do miss getting Rick P___ed off. :) Dropped my new phone in the aquarium, every one sounds like mush who leaves a message, very interesting year. I just need to be roped in sometimes. Hope all is well for all, and I need some updates on what is current. Some of you may be tentative emotionally about my sudden reappearance :) I hope not, but I am still here. I have been watching more then participating.

Busy but really not missing. :) My thoughts are always gravitating back to simply. Just a short here, I have had little problems with fish in planted tanks more issues with non planted. I currently have philodendrons in all tanks, these bloody plants grow underwater. :) Their roots are grow amazing well and their leaves grow big and green. They take as much water as you give them. Hard year though. Glad for some fishy relief.
Also I have been getting highjacked after about two minutes after being on this site, can't figure the why of that just yet.

The economics don't typically play out well to have the convention/show room site different from the Motel. The convenience of having the show room in the same building as the guest rooms cannot be understated. Perhaps if we ever get to the point where we need to accommodate 500+ guests at one time this would be an option.

There's some hotel there called Tree something, or something Tree. I saw the pics. It would be perfect but I understand it costs a bundle.

more than likely Double Tree hotel. It is a large chain of hotels, and is actually a competitor with our luxury hotel, so not a bad place if their hotels are anything like the one here.
