Getting my discus on Tuesday!

Hi Guys.....

I have been a lurker and learning all that I can about discus over the last seven months! I decided now is the time to acquire some discus from Kenny. I ordered six discus the smallest being 3 a 3.5". I am going to feed them 3-4 times a day with a daily water change of 50 percent in a 37 gallon bb tank until they are bigger which they will go into a 150 gallon tank. My question is my feedings will consist of beef heart, Forrest Aqua pellets, and Als freeze dried black worms. Will this be a well balanced diet for them?

This place is truly a gem!

4.5-5.5 Albino Brilliant
4" Penang Eruption
4-4.5 Blue Scorpion
4" Checkerboard Pigeon
4" Rafflesia

Sounds like a nice variety of fish. I've always been a fan of diversity over single strain tanks, and a good healthy as well as varied diet.

keep up with that good feeding.. but know.. that water changes are just as important in their development as the food..
