Shy/ reclusive

After you give wild discus a chance to acclimate to being captive, do they continue to be more shy/jumpy then their domestic counterparts? I understand if conditions are not ideal they will be but assuming all things are good will they typically stay out in the open if somebody walks by the tank and do they ask for food like domestic discus?

Hi Andy, the exporters of wild discus are pretty good about properly acclimating wild discus. Given good water conditions, good food and being in a group, wild discus are just as outgoing as their domestics cousins.
