Thanks Al, Niqhil, and Rick. Sadly I know longer have that pair. They were brought from Snookn as some type of Green Discus. Out of four I was lucky enough to get two pairs. Great parents and went on to cross them into a couple of my domestic strains....Bill

You are totally correct Bill and you can generally only get them once a year which makes them all the more precious.

I've managed to keep these guys alive for 5 months. They came in rough shape. HITH. They are starting to come around.

They still seem to be in rough shape unfortunately. Did they look worse prior?

I had to cull all but 2. Out of 8 only 2 left. They just kept getting skinnier and skinnier. I used prazi and metronidazole and then kanamycin. No luck. Expensive to treat a 230 gallon tank too. I haven't had such bad luck in over six years. I am starting to think I should have culled them all right from the start. I have just been keeping them alive since November. They aren't thriving by any means. Hopefully the last 2 will be OK. This is the same fish a the last pic from the previous post:

Beautiful wilds! Where does one get red alenquer? All wilds? Any hobbyists selling these from their spawns? They look great. I'm assuming the simply discus logo picture are the red alenquers , right?
