Would the bacteria in an acidophilus-based pro-biotic capsule be good for tank cycling?

Don't know what that bacteria is or achieves, but I seriously doubt it would have any useful purpose in tank cycling, and it could even be harmful. I'll research acidophilus just for the heck of it.
Any professionals out there who might know ?

After looking it up, I think I'll stick with Epsom Salts to deal with bloat/constipation as a gastro-intestinal issue - LOL
As for helping to cycle a tank - forget about it.

That's more for digestive and immune health. To cycle your filter go with pure ammonia and tetra safe start.
