View Full Version : Snow snow snow !
Is anyone else getting slammed by these storms ?? We've had over 70 inches of snow in just over 2 weeks and are getting over a foot and HIGH winds right now.. We just get our paths, long driveway and roofs cleared off and then we get slammed again.. Wednesday may produce another storm.. I am getting overwhelmed trying to dig out our 11 sheep with 4 baby lambs, 61 ducks and 12 chickens. Oh yeah, and two geese :0(
Update is over 89 inches of snow.. Snowiest city in North America is Worchester, right near me.. Mail deliveries and UPS delayed by days.. :0(

Here in Memphis,TN we are really missing some snow.. none so far but hopefully we will get some (an inch or so) tomm ! We will then act as if we have 10 feet snow :)
I'm getting fish delivered this week hopefully there is no delays with fed ex. Weather doesn't look to bad the rest of the week

I'll take about 6 inches off your hands, send it down my way. Just 6 inches though. I saw a reefer post that he had to go shovel his fences to keep the dogs from wandering off when they went out because they'd literally walk right over the fence. I just can't imagine that much snow.
I've got about 6 feet you can have! At this rate I won't see
Lawn until July!

In my part of southern NH there's about 2 feet of snow on the ground. With the drifts there's lots of areas around my house that are hip-deep, and some spots chest-deep! I love the snow, so this makes me happy. I hear we're getting more later this week, and i'm looking forward to it!

We are going to have change location of the Great White North.
Very cold with little snow here but nowhere near the snow you guys are getting pounded with just below us.

We had 13 inches in the last 24 hours, temps below 0 for the next few days. This is very rare for us and we may have broken the all time record for the most snowfall in a day. Kentucky is all but shut down for the next few days. I can't imagine what you guys have been dealing with this winter in New England. Hang in there guys.
This weather has got to go it keeps delaying my discus shipment. Hopefully I'll get my fish early next week.
I'm in marshfield. Getting 5 fish from Kenny's discus my delivery date keeps getting pushed back because of the weather. So far looking good for early next week. This weather patern has to break at some point

I'll take some of the snow if someone will take the ice. Power went out about 10:00 last night and luckily came back on around 1:00 this afternoon. Tanks dropped down to 68.5 before the power came back on. So far the only loss has been a really nice Koi angel, no discus. On the bright side one of my pairs that have been off cycle for a couple of months are cleaning the cone tonight, lol.
Wow can't believe you are getting ice all the way down there. With all the storms we've been getting I should have lost power but haven't. Probably because I went out and bought a generator

and just think, we have barely had enough snow to ride the snowmobiles....
finally got about 8" of fresh stuff, trails will be good for a little while. used my snowblower for the first time in 2015 sunday

No snow. I wish. Well not for as much as all of you guys have been getting, but just once to watch people down here try to deal with it, maybe 2 inches or so. I would not stop laughing for days.

Larry.. We are fortunate so far we haven't lost power.. Over 109 inches of snow so far :0(

I'm fine with the snow, it's the below 0 temps that are getting to me! There was a solid week that the highs were single digits at best with the lowest I saw in my car was -12 not taking into account the 20+Mph winds. I'll be glad when I have to mow my yard again!

This is just so wrong on so many levels... a few days of relatively warm.. I still have about 6 inches of snow on the ground here and thought it was finally over. But oh No...that would be too easy. Instead we get another snow storm on the way...Enough white stuff!!!:mad: even 1/2 inch is too much!!

That sucks Al, we've been in Spring for a couple of weeks now. Covered in pollen, thats our snow. I don't know what that silly groundhog was talking about.

Finally maybe spring is here! The woodfrogs are back breeding in my pond and the blue birds are fighting over nesting boxes...and last but not least the chipmunks have woke up And 50% of the snow is gone.

Now I understand why no one moves north when they retire! ;) LOL
Check the blooms on the flowers in the background. Our first daffodil blooms have already come and gone, and the maple tree out front is pouring out it's seeds and new blooms. Hopefully your weather is looking up Al, I was out washing the car today in shorts and flip flops. Beautiful day. ;)

It's 9:00 am here and it's already 80F except it doesn't go under 70's almost ever so I enjoy the snow pics...from a distance:antlers:
