How to add discus to an established tank

Hello all...Perhaps I should have posted this in the beginner forum. if so sorry!

We have an established tank with 2 discus and 7 tetra. On Tuesday we will be adding 4 discus that have been in qt for 4 weeks. Is there anything special I should do or just plop them in?

Welcome to the forum, Aaron,

I'm assuming here that both the 2 discus in your tank and the 4 in QT are healthy & eating well.

If you wish to be fully safe with your QT, move one of the 4 in QT into the main tank with the other 2, and leave those together for another several weeks. If all is ok after a 4 to 6 week period, then place the other 3 in QT with the 3 in your main tank.
