SO.. my droid S5 was running beautifully on kitkat as an OS...and verizon/ Samsung pushed a software "upgrade" to Lolipop.. WHY I have no clue. But it royally stinks! Im not liking it at all. My phone has lost functionality now, battery life is terrible. Problems with Apps. I'M Seeing lots of similar complaints on the web. The fixes touted dont help. Its possible with a little work and risk to go back to kitkat..but then you are stuck perpetually putting off the upgrade notice.

Perfect case of the latest and greatest not necessarily being the best..and not being vetted well before roll out.

Just curious how members here that have upgraded their operating systems on their droids are faring. If you havent yet done the upgrade..you may want to hold off and check out the issues being reported first.

I used to really love this phone...it was perfect...now its a headache!

Ps..who ever names these OS...jeez can they come up with better names!

Since Steve Jobs passed the updates on Apple products has gotten buggy too. No utopia. :(

Things were a whole lot simpler before phones got "smart".
