i watched some video that they use pink lights to make discus look nicer. but i dont know if it is good or bad for my fish?:confused:

pink will highlight some colors. natural no. If you have plants they may not do very well. Plain old Sylvania gro-lux really make reds and blues pop and they are kind of purple. The only light that MAY affect your Discus negatively might be the ultra-violet bug-germicidal lamps as they have been known to affect eye's of some creatures and long blue rays as we know travel deep into water. Think actinic for saltwater. As long as your ok with the look I see no reason to not try. Look for a CRI "color rendering index" of 88 or higher they will give you true colors. I really like the Sylvania "sky white" as I think they are called they are 8000K have a CRI in the 90's I think. THEY really make colors POP but on the downside if left on extended hours algae will take off and do VERY GOOD.
