Nope most likely hex. He also seems to have some issues swimming in an upright position....making me dizzy......

The photo should be rotated 90 degrees. Somehow got turned when I uploaded them.

I talked to my vet and will pick up some Flagyl later today. Do I need to hold off on the prazipro for the Flagyl tx? I will most likely tx the whole tank since I'm not sure how much it will be eating. Are juveniles ok with 500 mg per 20 gallons? I thought I might do a loading dose of 500 then follow with 250 over the next few.

medication should be administered in a bare bottom hospital tank, not a tank with substrate.

Probably the best I could do would be remove the substrate during treatment. I don't have another tank cycled at the moment.

What about the prazipro. Do I need to finish that first? Can I do both at once? Or remove the prazipro and start metro tx immediately? These are juveniles about 2 1/2 inches. I'm assuming I need to treat the whole tank bc if one has it they all could.

prazi-pro treatment for tapeworms would only be 24 hours.

Third day of Flagyl treatment 500 mg per 20 gal mixed in water with large water change. Discus still has white feces although it is clearer than before. Is the med working? Will it take a while for it to return to normal? Discus still not eating or I would try mixing with food.

not uncommon for the fish to not eat during medication. You might want to try to temp him with some frozen bloodworms. If he doesn't eat, then remove them from the tank so they don't foul the water. Are you treating in a bare bottom tank?

no, still have the substrate. wasn't sure if it would be worse to remove everything right now or not. lots of careful gravel vac with 50% daily water changes right now. i don't have a hospital tank set up and figured i would treat the whole tank since they may all have it. i have another tank with no stand that i'm going to set up soon but with my work schedule it may be a few weeks.
