2 stubborn discus

I have 2 Altum Flora discus they both at 6 inch... They wont breed or do anything beside stare at the cone. If I place them in my 55 gal all they do is stay together and pecked other discus? The only thing I haven't tried is using r/o water.

what should I do with these 2? Should i just keeping them in the 20gal alone and hoping they breed?

Have they breed before? It sounds like they just hang out together. If this is true I would add them back to the community tank and wait until you get a more promising pair...as in laying and protecting a spawn.

Pat is right, it is possible that they are not even a pair.

If you insist on leaving them in the 20G and roll the dice, you should try to lower the light. It may stimulate breeding behaviors.

I have seen 2 male discus do that before. It does not happen that often but I would also put them back in the community tank until you know more.

Ok thnx everyone I would do that. They haven't laid eggs for me before. When I got them, I was told that they are a pair just uncomfirmmed.
