Problem

1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
I just got home today and saw that one of the angelfish has a whitish spots on one side of its fins. There are discus and angelfish only in the tank and all were healthy until now.

the angelfish has whitish spots on one side, one fin seems deteriorated.

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.

None

Update:

I moved 3 of my angelfish to quarantine and 2 died. 1 is still hanging on but I am not hopeful.
Petland Discounts gave me Melafix and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

One of my Discus in the main tank is only breathing from one side:

Please give me some advice on what is going on.

First sorry you haven't had any help here yet and I hate to hear you have lost some fish. It is possible you have a parasite and secondary bacterial problem. I have not had much luck with Melafix. Prazi Pro will usually stop any gill parasite infestations.

It looked like you have a strong current in the tank which may be fine for a healthy discus but it could cause stress for a weak one. What type of filtration do you use?

I hope others chime in here for you as I am not sure if you can hit them with a antibiotic while treating with Prazi.

Best of luck to you.
