I'm considering using this product rather than Kaldnes K1 Media. Their website seems to indicate that it is twice as space-efficient as K1.

I'm using it right now. I just added it in with my k1 so I don't really notice a difference but poret foam is good

I'm going to give it a go.

Doing the research now.....interesting, how much I have missed on the Forum, taking some time off. I love the website for the Perot. I am going to use it on my 125 set up :-) Sounds like it has to tumble, and rotate for effectiveness ? I was curious about replacing my bio balls, not understanding the principle as of yet ? Thanks for any insight, Boyd.

Call the gentleman from Swiss Tropicals. I talked to him with some questions I had and he was more than helpful and always responded much more promptly than any other customer service rep I have exprienced before.

I'm using the poret foam sheets in my sump. IMO there is not need for a fluidized bed but it makes many folks feel better with their filtration.

Thanks Ricardo, will give him a call. I have a few sumps laying around, and thinking of incorporating/rebuilding them for use in my 125 gallon :-). I am also considering the simplicity of the foam sheets Pat, just trying to utilize some sump space :-). Thanks Pat.
