Hello Guys,

We are doing something a little different here at Chicago Discus. We installed a LiveCam in our Hatchery directed at Yoda our MBU Puffer from the Congo. She is in a 300 gallon aquarium which she shares with small tetras and some rams. Everyone that visits the hatchery to purchase discus always hangs out with Yoda and we get many inquires about her well being. So we decided to come up with a way for all her friends to watch her whenever they would like.

We also would like to start doing tutorials live in the hatchery at set times to share in our experiences. Please give some feedback as to what you guys would
like to see. The cam will be directed at Yoda unless otherwise stated.

We will be doing some fine tweaking as time goes on to improve the experience.

Works for me, Josie that puffer looks MASSIVE! So cool though! Really surprised at the cam quality/clarity and buffering time....Maybe I need one of these (The cam not the puffer).

That is so awesome! I have yoda on the screen and my tank in the background... It is like a fish lovers picture in picture!!! Hahaha

Yoda doesn't bother those little fish? I know I saw some video in the past of her eating clams and shrimp... Does she prefer shelled edibles?

Every fourth day I do I do a 100% flush she really likes the clean water. It takes about 350 gallons of aged water to do the flush. And yea miranda gave her some shrimp this morning so she usually rests after she eats. About 6-7pm she will start being very active again it's the second feeding time for her......Josie

Everything I have ever read about MBUs said that they are aggressive towards other fish but she has never been aggressive wit them. But she is well fed....

We should all eat as well as she does! She needs the shellfish because of her teeth. She once mistook my finger for a cooked shrimp. OUCH! She has quite a bite! When we got her in November she was less than 6 inches. Now she is 18 inches. In the wild she can grow to 30 inches, but I don't think she'll get that big in our 300 gal. Let's hope not anyway.... Yoda is doing very well , thank you! We burned out a cable on the Yoda Cam when we had a little flood (hazards of a fish room) and we haven't had a chance to replace it. But she is big and beautiful as ever! Here are some pictures... Miranda
