If i want to use prazi to deworm, can anybody tell me since i have a hang over the back filter with a micron cartridge if the cartridge will void prazi. i also have a bio sponge filter in the tank.
I have two Blue diamond discus. Got them in July last year. Male is georgeous and bid. Female seams to have quit growing. She is now smaller than my boy. She eats well but i wonder about worms?
Thanks for all the help you guys provide for all of us learning:o

Nicole, I do not have a direct answer to your question but what is the micron cartridge used for? It sounds like it is used as a sediment filter used for filtering small bits of stuff from the water column. If it also has something like carbon then it will filter out meds. I suggest you do a bit of research on the particular micron cartridge you are using.

unless there is carbon in use I can't see the micron filter impeding any medication. I use one on my magnum if and when I use med's and yet the med's always seem to work.

Thanks Pat,
I don't think it has carbon, i will maybe call Marineland when i have a chance and find out.

There is no carbon, its an insert that i use instead of carbon, some sort of maybe fiberglass, cardboard acordeon like tube.

Anyways if my female is not groing as big as my male even though they were the same size at on point, should i deworm?

Sounds like a sediment filter.

How large is she? The Forrest Giant Red Turks I got were the size when I got them. Now the male is much larger than the female. This is actually pretty common that males are larger than females.

I would say without taking them out of the water, measuring roughly through the glass that he is 5" and she is 4?
She seems fine, although she has to keep up with him. i think a bit stressfull. Those boys!:rolleyes2: LOL!
