Hi

Tonight I noticed 2 of my discus swimming on their sides around a plant leaf. I took a closer look and there are eggs on the leaf!

Now I don't know what I should do. I have 9 discus, 2 corys, 12 neon / cardinal tetra, and a dwarf pleco and numerous shrimps of all sizes.

Can I leave the eggs where they are or should I separate the parents and the eggs from the rest of the fish with a net separator? I must say I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do.

Also what would the offspring look like? The parents are Stendker discus one is a Silver Pigeon and the other a Marlboro Red.

Thanks in advance.

First spawn in a community tank, good practice, leave them there and see if they develop into wigglers. Then you know you have a fertile pair. If you want to breed them then separate them into a breeding tank. You won't be able to save or raise this batch. They will be eaten by the other fish.
