Dear SimplyDiscus Membership,
We are changing the format for our monthly photo contest. We are adopting the format used in Al's Double Dog Dare You thread (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?118945-I-Double-Dog-Dare-you&highlight=). Basically instead of submitting photo's via email we will create a thread which will be used for submissions. Submission thread can be found HERE (http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?120048-Double-Dog-Dare-You-June-Photo-Contest-Submission-Thread&p=1159803#post1159803). All you will need to do is simply post your picture in the thread and at the end of the month we will add a poll to the thread and everyone can vote for their favorite picture. The winning photo will be used as the cover photo on the SimplyDiscus group for Facebook.
You are free to use any means for showing the photo be it uploading the photo via the attachments icon or using a online hosting site such as photobucket, flickr etc.
If you need help with your photo such as rotating the photo please email your photo to photo@simplydiscus.com and describe what you need assist with. We will make the changes you request and email the photo back to you. Note that we will not do any post processing on your photo.
Rules for submission:
1) You must be the person that took the picture and have permission to use it.
2) Please only submit one photo. Should you submit more entries, we will automatically use your first posted picture.
3) Any photo containing a discus is welcome.
4) Your submission gives us permission to use the photo for this contest, host it on an offsite location and post it in a poll on Simply Discus.
How to enter:
Once you are ready to submit your photo; post it to the submission thread. Please only post the photo with no additional comments. Any comments will be removed. At the end of the month all entries will be numbered and a poll will be added to the submission thread at the first day of the next month and open for voting until the 10th of the month after which the winner will be announced.
Since winners are determined by poll, all registered members of SimplyDiscus including Admins, Moderators, Sponsors, and Subscription holders are eligible to participate.
We have tried to anticipate all issues and make the rules clear and concise, but should an issue or problem arise we maintain all rights to resolve it as we see fit. You agree to this by your submission.
