I am looking to buy from Hans discus but I'm wondering what his perameters are at he said they use Baltimore tap water but is that good is that a harder water? Another question when quarenting the fish how hot does the tank need to be 80-86, and to fill the qt tank can I use the water from my display tank ?

You can use your tap water that is aged in a cycled tank. Do not take water from your display tank. Any potential disease agents will be present in that water and infect your new discus. Temp 82-84.

Your discus will be fine in hard water as long as it's consistent!
