Hi,

Please help me to understand what is going on. Three of my discus (one red melon, two checkerboard) reserve a corner. Can any one help me to identify who is male, female ? And how can i identify pair to put them into breeding tank ?

Please see the video and share your comment.

Thank you.

I love the mating/friendship bow at the end between the mango peach and pigeon!
I would suggest the chasing behaviour at the end from the pigeon is the male, however this is just a gamble, the two at the end that bow to each other are either a pair (male & female), however I have had two females do this as well.
They could be all females wanting to lay eggs and the other friend keeps the egg eaters away.
I notice the three in the corner are the largest and appear to be the oldest of the group... This is what I would suggest; you either have a male with two females or all females, only time will tell.

there is no way to tell until you see them actually spawning.. then you see their sexual organs exposed and see who is who.. just let them be and see what happens..

look closely to see if u can spot the tips of their breeding tubes. males have pointy tubes and female tubes are blunt.
