Hi all,
I will be speaking at the ACA this weekend in Springfield, Mass and would like to add a gallery of photos from you, SimplyDiscus, to my presentation. I am hoping that I will have the opportunity to introduce Discus to many non-discus keepers there. I will introduce the gallery of pics as being submitted specifically by the forum as a greetings and introduction from the Discus keepers here.

If you have pictures that really make you proud, happy, or really got you worked up about the hobby, and want them in my presentation gallery, please post them here.. I will use as many as I can and I will label each with your user name..

My goal and purpose with doing this ACA talk is to try and reach out to the non-discus fish keepers and show them the fun side and good stuff in our hobby. So that maybe they will catch the discus Bug.

I could use your help and I think it would be pretty cool for the forum members to personally send these pics as greeting and introductions.

Thanks,
al

You may be asking what is this tiny little 1 inch Pee Wee doing here?
He's from a batch of Wattley Turks I got from Vern Archer.
He’s actually almost an inch and a half including the tail. :bounce2:

what originally drew me to discus was seeing pictures and watching videos o them in their wild habitat. People going diving and fishing for them intrigues me. So naturally am drawn to the wilds. Here is a picture you can use. 88773

Al if you are dying for some more at the last minute you are welcome to anything on my Flickr. Not sure what all is on there discus wise, all of the NADA show fish photos, some wilds, etc.
https://www.flickr.com/photos/scmatt/

Here is NADA 2014, 2012 photos are buried on the photostream somewhere.

Here's a few I've always had pride in and been partial to. Wish I could dig up the originals to get a bigger size to them.

Some of the earliest batches of Piwowarski that came into the US, to my knowledge, when Dan (Elite Aquaria) first started bringing them in back in the summer of 2011. Kind of what we strive for as discus keepers. Perfect clean tank, crystal clear water, big round fish.

And some photos of my old Cobalts spawning.

Have to agree. The one in towards the furthest most left is what I depict to look like a classic Piwow. It is hard to describe, but when you see a classic Piwow, you know.

These are really beautiful. What strain are they and who sells them? I can't find much for them on the web.

These are classic Red Turqs from Alex Piwowarski out of Germany. Like Pat said above it's tough to find Piwowarski that look like this anymore...IMO at least and I'm not sure if anyone is importing his fish to the states currently. I think Josie was the last to do it? He was known for his large round straight line Red Turqs. Even my later shipments of the same size RT didn't "wow" like these first ones did.

You're welcome to anything in my homestead. The neon sapphires, etc might be nice. Maybe something from the red turk pics.

The only person I can think of is is RichT. His avatar is to die for. Maybe he has a lead? I will not derail this thread any longer though. Nice pic Matt ;)
