Hi Lilly,

If you mean the fish in the foreground on the left side of the picture, that's not a flachen, that's a blue turq.

They can sometimes have non linear striations (lines that aren't straight), broken lines or even lines that turn into whorls. It doesn't devalue the fish so long as you aren't buying and raising it for show purposes. =)
