View Full Version : lower TDS in breeding tank!!!

my discus pair just laid eggs yesterday and TDs is about 97pm. im going to do water change but TDs of water in bucket is about 20. would it effect the eggs when i reduce TDs while doing water change? the tank is dirty now!!! plz help!!

It's fine, it won't affect eggs. Clean water is better

This is different, to be honest I never thought it might cause a problem.
Ummmm, let's see, thinking back I have never really adjusted my tds for changes, I have done water changes from 125ppm to 19tds in a 10mins water change.
I never seem any stress, I have done this with 7-9 pairs I have had almost one time or another, it never bothered any of them.
If someone can say different I would really like to know as well.
