hi guys ,
i have been out of breeding discus for a while and just recently bought a pair of wild (looking ) discus .
years ago i used to breed with limited success .
the pair i have , never had wigglers although they lay eggs like crazy and care for them diligently .
they actually laid eggs 2 hrs. after i brought them home on my bike , boxed up for 1 hr.
after 3 days the eggs fungus over and they eat them , but only when they are all bad.
some eggs stay dark for close to 3 days !
i feel that the water perimeters are fine :
90 % RO.
10 % well water
70 mico simens
temp. 82 F.
approx 25% water change /day .
nice and clear .
they look happy eat well ect.
could i have 2 females ?, i never had that before .
if they were not fertilised would they not go bad sooner ?
i'm at a loss ......
how prevalent is two females mating ?
