It’s been a fun journey, but it’s time to let go of this beautiful setup. Due to kids, relocation and just overall life it’s time to let go. I am selling a complete turn-key setup that’s up and running to date. price is $3500. I will be more then happy to help with moving the setup, but some people who can lift heavy things will be needed as my back is not what it used to be. Please PM with any questions, interest, etc. I am located on the border of NY and NJ states, in Tuxedo NY. Buyer is more then welcome to hit my stash of other parts, there are smaller tanks, Perigean reactor, RODI, way more then I can list here.
Aquarium:
Tank:
This tank was custom ordered from Beital’s Aquariums in NY. Tank is 135 gallons, 72x18x24. Features a center overflow with 2x 1” drains and a 3/4” return lox-line split into two. Standard glass and black silicone all around.
Filtration & other equipment:
20+ gallon all glass sump also build by Beital’s. Entire overflox box and sump filled with bio-balls and think layer of filter moss on top of sump for mechanical filtration. Return pump is a Mag 12 that runs flawlessly. Everything is hard-plumbed with Schedule 80 bulkheads, piping, Sears Gate Valve and a Hayward Ball Valve. Multiple Schedule 80 True-unions for disassembly and cleaning. Aqua UV 18W plumbed into the the setup. Finnex Titanium 300W heater with digital controller and temperature sensor. 8-line power strip with individual switches and timer for the lights, which are CurrentUSA Planted + with remote controls.
Stand & Canopy:
Custom made extra tall stand and canopy made from solid red oak and red oak plywood. I was tired of all the standard stands which are 30” tall making it hard to enjoy the tank when in front of it. So I designed and had this stand custom made. Internal structure is completely covered by wood and ply, making this stand look like a piece of furniture. This tank is a center-piece of a family room, so no expense was spared. Pictures don’t give it justice, have to see it to appreciate it’s beauty. Every angle was cut and fit perfectly.
Background:
Background was carved our of foam into a mountain scape, and sealed with 4 layers of white drylock, followed by another 6 layers of tinted drylock to create the 3D scape that’s 100% aquarium safe. Background is held in place by aquarium silicone, and can be removed if so desired.
Decoration:
Manzanita driftwood, from Tom Barr’s private collection, These pieces are huge and very hard to find, truly one of a kind to complete the look. Plants include Anubias Nana, Swords and 2 more exotic little plants (Anubias Micro plus something).
Livestock:
7x Discus: All Kenny’s Discus, purchased last year. All discus are between 5.5" and 7”.
Pairs:
- 2x - Blue Diamond w/deep blue gene
- 1x - Penang Eruption + 1x - Albino Leopard Snakeskin (AB-grade)
Singles:
- 1x - Mosaic Turquoise
- 1x - Rafflesia (type II - more solid)
