hey all,

so i swapped out my filter sock from the filter on my discus tank and just before i went to hose it down, i saw that a small colony of black worms had developed inside there amongst the gunk and crud! has this ever happened to anyone before? and do guys think there is any feasible way of harvesting these worms for food? i tried just picking some off but sifting through the grossness is kinda gross lol. i'd hate to just hose it down and lose them all. thanks for the input.

matt

Well guess where they are? lol. Black worms are resiliant and can live in gravel for a long time. You must be seeing some that simply went for a ride to your sump. You can cultivate it and feed it right back to the discus, so long as that is truly what they are, black worms.
