Okay
That paint was a complete fail.
maybe frylon fusion would have been better. maybe the wine glasses are too smooth. whatever, I'll have to scrape it off.

I added 5 more corys and 12 neons. The angels ate up 8 of the neons before I sold the 3 angelfish on another forum. The guy got them at a steal for 40.00, but then again he drove an hour and a half each way to get them. one cory promptly swam into the intake of my HOB and got his head obliterated. There is a prefilter there now.

I got my plants from rostick555 . A mix of 15 small crypt wendii, green and brown, one crypt balanese?, and a red flame sword. The roots are great even if the plants are small at the moment. All those plants for $15.00 and free shipping.

I picked up a regular amazon sword from petsmart, the ones in the tube with the gel, that alone was 10.00.

All the plants have a decent amount of osmocote in the bottom of their container and then filled the rest of the way with sand. No co2, no need. I fully expect all the crypts to 'melt' but then they should come back nicely.

Today I'll re-arrange the pots add a runty brilliant and a deformed marlboro red from my basement tanks. maybe one more still undecided.

Yes, I was going to menton that the paint will fall off shortly. You want to sand the glass first to make it easier to adhere to if you want this to succeed. What kind of filtration do you have on this tank?

Yep, lesson learned. I will either take it off and leave it or redo in a few months when I know the plants are established.

I run an AC 50 with 30ppi poret foam inside. and a fluval prefilter...now. I took off all the extensions on the intake so it only protrudes into the water an inch or so. the poret foam gets cleaned with weekly 70-90% waterchange.

I drilled the tank and have an eheim classic (2217?) and a hydor inline heater. the classic has nothing but biopure balls. I have been rinsing out the filter in tank water every 3-5 months but I'm going to start just rinsing every 6-12 months.

I feed this tank with flake, small amounts of shaved beef mix and whiteworms. occassionaly I would do pellets but I won'y bother since the angels are gone.

Nice tank. Brings back old memories of my first 46 bow front. Whats the worms for?
