Thermostat Mixer

Does anyone use one of these or know much about them? I'm trying to fiqure the best brand to buy.

Yes, I have one and it worked well for me. However, I don't remember the name of it. I still have it in the closet somewhere collecting dust because I got my aging barrel w/ heater now so I don't need the temp valve mixer. It is the temp valve mixer you are referring to right?

You could basically make one easily with a couple of solenoid valves and a temperature controller. You would just have the temperature controller hooked to the solenoid (normally closed). When the temperature got too cold, the temperature controller would energize the solenoid valve allowing hot water to flow, until it got up to temperature. They key here is what flow rate your trying to achieve.
