This is were i'm a bit confused here's an example if someone tells me to adjust my GH to get a reading of say 3 GH but now my test kit is given in degrees of hardness , is there a difference/ conversion i need to do? I'm confused if 3 GH is expressed in ppm or mg/l . Really need some help understanding this

Easy way. multiplying your dh by 17 will give you ppm.
