New owner, few questions

Hello everyone. I'm new here and I have a question. I had my tank setup up for a few months now. I finally got some discus. 4 6"+ and 3 3". When looking at them at the seller's tank, they were very bright and showed a lot more color. (He had white sand and black background). My tank has black sand and a black background. Would that make them turn darker? I was planning on replacing the sand with white sand if it was the case. Also, can the members here help me identify what strain my fishes are. From what I've read, dark substrate can cause darkening of your discus. But judging by the photos I think it's the lighting that's causing the big difference in coloration. The pair on the right is under lighting that includes actinic tubes or blacklight LED's, but the pair on the left looks like they're under standard, normal lighting.

I do not see any PB's here. I posted on OP's other thread about them possibly being 3 turqs and one leopard
