These are a group of wild little heckels from the Rio Unini. Mark bring them in with his latest shipment and we did a little fish swapping. :D

Guessing three inches or so Phil. I have raised my own fry but have not had wilds this small. They eat like little machines. Between the eight on them, they ate 5 cubes of FDBWs between mid-afternoon and bedtime. :D

I will create a grow out thread Phil for these little guys. Heckels are said to be slow growers. Lets hope not too slow.

I culled the lot William as I could not cure the whirling which was taking them one by one. :(

It looks like i may stuck be buying my son a car. There is a reason why lions eat their young. I'm ready to feed this one to the lambs. Some discus eat their young too.
